First look at Arley Homes’ beautiful new development for Harwood

March 2009

North West developer Arley Homes has unveiled the first images of its stunning new development in rural Lancashire. Churchfields, in Harwood near Bolton, comprises just 17 properties arranged around a private cul-de-sac.

Construction began at the 1.2 acre site, home of the former Christ Church school, late last year and the first properties are nearing completion. The Warrington-based developer plans to launch the marketing suite and Show Home to the public on Saturday, March 14th.

Featuring four individually designed house types, each property offers contemporary interiors and spacious living over three floors. Ideal for family life, all homes have four bedrooms and a mixture of ground floor layouts offering the option of an open plan kitchen/ dining room or spacious lounge/ diner. Buyers also have the choice of both semi- detached or detached properties.

The Bramhall is a beautifully designed, four-bedroom home in both semi-detached and detached arrangements. Featuring an open-plan kitchen/dining area, overlooking the garden, it also has a separate lounge and downstairs cloakroom, and top-floor master suite. The four-bedroom Belmont offers even more space for the growing family with a spacious kitchen dining area and private master bedroom suite located on the top floor.

The delightful Haslingden boasts an open-plan lounge and dining area to the rear, ideal for entertaining, with doors leading out into the garden. While the Strathmore is equally attractive with a comfortable lounge giving way to the large kitchen/ dining area, and separate downstairs cloakroom. This stunning home also provides the Arley touch of luxury with an impressive master suite occupying the entire top floor.

Families and young professionals are expected to show a great deal of interest in Churchfields development with its semi-rural location offering superb views over the Lancashire countryside. Located off Stitch-Mi-Lane, so named because it was the route to work for the Victorian mill workers who lived in the valley, independent shops and popular pubs in the village of Harwood are just minutes away.

The development is close to the A56 and within easy reach of Bolton and Bury town centres. It is also perfectly situated for anyone commuting to Manchester City Centre either by train or via the M61 motorway.

John Cosgrave, managing director for Arley Homes, said: “The Churchfields development demonstrates Arley Homes commitment to building beautifully designed homes in great locations. This area is popular with both families and those commuting to Bolton, Bury and Manchester City Centre as it offers the perfect balance between the joys of country living and the convenience of a nearby town.

“This area has a good reputation and there has traditionally been high demand for large detached and semi-detached properties in this location and our four-bedroom family homes will certainly fit the bill. While all Churchfields properties feature stylish, contemporary fittings within a traditional design, we have incorporated a range of ground floor layout options providing buyers with flexibility and choice.”
