A young family is enjoying living the dream thanks to Arley Homes. The Cleasby family fell in love with the St Georges Park development in Mossley but mum Sarah feared the stunning four-bedroom property would be out of their price range.
Following a viewing of the beautiful Harridge S show home, the couple discussed possible options for making the move and were delighted to discover Arley Homes offered a tailor-made part-exchange package.
Arley put together a deal to enable Sarah, her husband Chris, and their children Paige, 13, Madeline, 10, and Elliot, four, to part exchange their three-bedroom home against the property at St Georges Park.
Their previous home, also in Mossley, was valued at approximately two thirds of the price of the new home, making it perfect for part exchange. Sarah said: I am quite cynical and was worried the part exchange offer would be less than we hoped for, so I had my own valuations done. I was surprised and extremely pleased to find Arley Homes valuation came out the same and felt really happy about the deal.
Having lived in a traditional 150 year old Victorian terrace, Sarah had reservations about purchasing a new build property until she saw the development for herself. I always associated new build with bland and boxy but that was before I came to St Georges Park. The development features a range of different house styles and each home is individual, she said.
My house is simply beautiful. I love the quirkiness, its full of nooks and crannies and has such character, it is like living in a more traditional style of home without all the problems. We were able to move straight in without worrying about having to decorate. Theres no issue with pipes, electrics or the roof as you often find in older properties. Its ideal for families, with a large open plan kitchen diner and a master suite on the top floor where we go to escape the hustle and bustle.
All three children attend local schools and Sarah was determined her young family should benefit from all that Mossely has to offer. She said: I grew up near to here, with the countryside on my doorstep, and I always wanted my children to have the countryside outside their window.
This is such a wonderful location an idyllic place for children. We all enjoy wandering down the canal tow path to the coffee shops at Uppermill or playing in the fields. They love it and I cant think of anywhere else I would rather be.
Overlooking the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, St Georges Park is just minutes from the centre of the pretty town of Mossley. The semi- rural setting, in the heart of the Tame valley, offers the perfect blend of countryside living with the convenience of having Ashton-Under-Lyne and Manchester City Centre an easy drive away.
St Georges Park offers a mixture of three- , four- and five- bedroom family homes, and two-bedroom apartments. Only four apartments remain, priced from £129,950, while townhouses start at £219,950.
