Energy saving with Park View eco homes

May 2009

Homebuyers don’t have to spend a fortune to go green when purchasing an energy efficient property from Arley Homes. Saving energy and saving money go hand-in-hand when it comes to the eco-home rated properties at Park View in Northern Moor.

Arley uses modern construction methods and materials to ensure its developments adhere to the Government’s stringent eco regulations. Energy efficiency comes as standard at Park View, giving buyers both peace of mind and reducing their energy bills.

The Home Builders Federation estimates new build properties are six times more energy efficient and cut carbon emissions by up to 60 per cent, compared to older properties, and negates the need for expensive retrofitting of cavity wall insulation, double glazing and condensing boilers. With gas and electricity costs set to rise still further, that saving is expected to increase to more than £500 per year.

John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, said: “Buyers are becoming more conscious of the rising cost of energy bills. Awareness of the benefits offered by a new-build property is growing and buyers are beginning to appreciate the huge savings that can be made when homes are designed with sustainability in mind.”

As a responsible housebuilder, Arley Homes has employed a number of measures to meet the Government’s environmental standard at Park View. All homes feature environmentally friendly heat and energy saving technologies including condensing boilers, A+ rated kitchen appliances, water conservation sanitaryware and ever more thermal insulation, to secure a “very good” eco rating. By reducing heat loss and water usage, Arley is helping homeowners cut their running costs and energy waste.

Nature and wildlife are an important feature of the Park View development which is situated opposite the entrance to the beautiful Wythenshawe Park. Bird boxes have been installed and native plants used on site to encourage nesting and feeding.

New homes offer additional benefits for buyers as, by their nature, they come ready to move into with new kitchens and bathrooms. Arley Homes also promises to oversee any construction maintenance across the development, internally and externally, for the first two years post-build.

The leading North West housebuilder is also committed to helping homebuyers who have been hit by the banking contraction as a result of the recent economic downturn, offering a range of packages including part-exchange, assisted sale, stamp duty and five per cent deposit paid.
