July 2009
Leading North West housebuilder Arley Homes has appointed Jim Bowers, 62, as sales manager. With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Mr Bowers has been brought in primarily to manage the increased demand for part-exchange purchases from homebuyers.
The popularity of Arleys portfolio of developments right across the region, coupled with the contraction in bank mortgage lending, has resulted in more prospective purchasers requesting part-exchange valuations on their existing properties. The new sales manager will have responsibility for overseeing all such valuations and putting together deals to enable buyers to successfully make the move.
Mr Bowers believes Arley Homes has fared better than most through the current market difficulties because of the companys focus on building high quality, traditional family homes. He said: Arley properties have continued to be popular because buyers appreciate our standards and attention to detail which exceeds that of many other new build developers.
In addition, Arley understands that buying a new home is a daunting prospect for many people, so our sales teams work hard to help ease them through the process. By assisting buyers through our part-exchange scheme, we can help give many families the chance to purchase their dream home.
Having spent 13 years with Bellway Homes, where he progressed from sales advisor to part exchange manager and ultimately sales manager, Mr Bowers has also worked for David McLean Homes and Morris Homes, where he was regional sales manager for four years prior to coming to Arley.
An avid Manchester United supporter, Mr Bowers lives with wife Christine in Stalybridge near to Arley Homes St Georges Park development in Mossley and enjoys country walks around the stunning Saddleworth Moor.
John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, said Mr Bowers appointment was an important move in order to manage the increasing demand from homebuyers, and demonstrated the strength in sales seen by Arley since the start of the new year.
He said: We have experienced unprecedented market conditions in recent times and as a company we have been responsive and reactive, working with homebuyers to tailor packages to their individual circumstances. It quickly became evident that part-exchange was becoming a popular choice for buyers who have been let down by the inertia of the banks.
Arley Homes has continued to focus on building high quality family homes in good locations which have attracted a great deal of interest and strong sales in the first half of the year. As the market has started to show slight signs of improvement, the demand for part exchange has increased. Jim has extensive experience and an excellent track record in property sales, especially with part-exchange. He has considerable energy and enthusiasm which will help us all achieve our aims and goals and I am delighted to welcome him to Arley Homes.
The Warrington-based housebuilder currently has a number of developments across the North West and has also started work on a new site in Atherton, Wigan, following the purchase of one acre of land in March this year.
Arley Homes buyers can benefit from a range of deals including part exchange, assisted sale, stamp duty and five per cent deposit paid, subject to terms and conditions. For more information about Arley Homes or to contact the sales team please go to www.arleyhomes.co.uk or call 01925 651155.
