Arley Homes unveils the stunning new Chanter’s Green development in Atherton

July 2009

North West housebuilder Arley Homes has unveiled the first images of its stunning new development in Atherton. Chanters Green, on Gloucester Street, is the latest scheme from the Warrington-based developer.

Comprising 28 traditional, two-storey family homes, Chanters Green is arranged around an attractive cul-de-sac providing both security and a sense of community within this delightful development.

Arley Homes purchased the 1.25 acre site in March this year and construction began in April. The Chanters Green show home is due to be launched in September, though the development will be on the market from August and interested buyers are already signing up for viewings.

Featuring five individually designed house types, each one of the traditional red brick properties offers contemporary interiors and spacious family living. Buyers will have the choice of detached and cottage mews-style properties, in both two- and three- bedroom configurations, all with off street parking in either a garage, driveway or allocated space.

Architect designed, the homes at Chanters Green will be constructed using a particularly high specification of brick, creating a heritage effect. Additional creative elements will also be incorporated into the design to give each property an individual, bespoke feel. These include subtle brickwork features, delicate rose trellising, charming window and doorways, open eaves, decorative railings and superb landscaping.

The Elm and The Beech are beautiful three-bedroom detached properties, boasting an impressive master bedroom complete with en-suite bathroom, stylishly finished with pure white Roca sanitary wear. Kitchens in these homes include A rated integrated appliances, water conservation Eco Click taps and child-friendly, soft-close doors.

The Maple is an elegant two-bedroom detached house. In its design, The Maple focuses on open-plan living with a spacious, multi-functional kitchen, dining and lounge area, ideal for entertaining or keeping an eye on the kids.

Arley Homes is also offering a selection of mews properties at Chanters Green. The delightful three-bedroom Oak and the superb two-bedroom Ash both comprise a combined kitchen diner and separate lounge, perfect for families on the go and cosy evenings in.

There is expected to be a great deal of interest from local families and young professionals when Chanters Green is launched in September. John Cosgrave, managing director for Arley Homes, said he has high hopes that the great location combined with the superior quality of finish, the trademark of Arley Homes, will win favour in Atherton.

He said: “There is great demand for good quality family homes in this area and Arley Homes has invested a lot of time and money in the design and specification of these properties. We want to create homes which are beautiful, comfortable and practical and of which their owners will be proud.

“Atherton is popular with families, drawn by the huge number of schools in the vicinity, and is a fantastic location for anyone wanting easy access to work in one of the nearby town centres as well as a quick route to the countryside.”

The development is close to the A579 and just eight minutes from Junction 4 of the M61 motorway, making it ideally situated for Leigh, Wigan and Bolton town centres and within easy reach of Manchester city centre.
