North West housebuilder is bucking the trend with new development
Arley Homes has acquired a 2.7 acre site in Coppull, Chorley. The developer has submitted plans for 40 three and four bedroom family homes at Coppull Moor Road.
The semi-rural location is close to the A49 and offers good access to both the M6 and M61 motorways. The shops and restaurants of Chorley town centre are just 10 minutes away. Buyers will also have all the benefits of the stunning Lancashire countryside on their doorstep. Arley hopes to begin construction before the end of the year and to have properties on the market by spring 2010.
This is the second new site acquired by the Warrington-based developer this year. In March Arley purchased a one acre site at Gloucester Street in Atherton, from Wigan Borough Council. Development began immediately in April and Arley launched the Chanters Green show home earlier this month.
John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, is delighted to have been successful in securing the land deal, reinforcing Arley as one of the foremost bespoke housebuilders in the region.
Mr Cosgrave believes Arleys strength lies in the decision four years ago to focus on building good quality family homes and steer clear of the high density apartment sector, which has suffered most in the recent downturn due to the massive over supply. In addition he credits continued sales across its current portfolio, including the final sales on two popular developments in Trafford.
He said: I am delighted that we have been successful in tendering for this particular parcel of land and look forward to seeing work start on site before the end of the year. This demonstrates that Arley has the ability to continue buying and building new homes, despite the wider market conditions. Our ability to do this stems from the strength in depth within the company, not least the talents and commitment of those who work for Arley Homes.
We always seek to purchase land in places which we believe families would like to live, which offer good transport links for work, schools and recreational facilities. We have all that and more with Coppull Moor Road. It is in a beautiful location and I expect the development to be very popular with people who know the area well. Equally I look forward to introducing the development to people coming to the delightful village of Coppull for the first time.
Arley Homes is currently marketing properties at Churchfields in Harwood, St Georges Park in Mossley, Byron Grove in Bamford and Park View in Northern Moor in addition to Chanters Green in Atherton. Arley Homes buyers can benefit from a range of deals including part exchange, assisted sale and five per cent deposit paid, subject to terms and conditions.
