Arley Homes ‘Shows Off’ Mossley

September 2007

Arley Homes has launched a showhome and a viewhome at its attractive St. George’s Park development in Mossley in a bid to further showcase what is fast becoming one of the company’s most popular addresses.

The five-bedroom detached viewhome and four-bedroom mews showhome have been opened to visitors to illustrate the potential of the spacious new homes still available on the development.

The spotlight on Mossley has intensified in recent years as nearby Ashton has undergone a transformation. Money has been pumped into the area and retail interests have increased with the arrival of IKEA and other various retail outlets situated in nearby out-of-town locations. Mossley’s residential stock is poised on the brink of price increases - as the surrounding areas continue to develop - as this historic Pennine town is surrounded by rolling hills and a selection of breathtaking countryside views, retaining a more traditional country-living feel.

Just nine miles from Manchester City Centre, St. George’s Park offers excellent transport and communications links. Bordered by the river Tame and the recently restored Huddersfield Narrow Canal, it has been described as one of Arley Homes’ most picturesque developments.

Alison Holton, sales and marketing director for Arley Homes, is confident that the launch of the showhome and viewhome will continue sales success: “Visitor levels were higher than ever on the weekend that we opened the showhome.

“Showhomes give potential home-owners a taster of what could be. They sell a lifestyle as well as a home and we work with the best designers who are adept at anticipating the desires and needs of our purchasers. There is a ready market for properties in Mossley as the local amenities are so good and the location is so pretty.”

Speaking about the design of the showhome, Sian Woodfine, design director from Marren Interiors said: “We have given the townhouse a contemporary rural feel, utilising vibrant colours from green through to turquoise hues, creating a stunning family home.”

Mossley dates back to pre-Roman times and features the remains of an iron-age hill fort to its eastern boundary. Characterised by stone cottages, cotton mills and steep winding streets, it was once part of three different counties: Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cheshire, becoming a borough in its own right in 1885.

There are also a selection of two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom homes at St George’s Park. Prices start at just £149,950 for the two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes are available from as little as £275,950.

For further information, please call 01457 834000 or call into the sales centre and view the new show homes, open Thursday to Monday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
